I love this dentist office, especially Dr Turk and his usual team. They are so kind and attentive and they really care about their patients. I had to go back in this evening because I popped a temporary crown out and they fixed it promptly and with so much grace for me because it really was my fault it popped off, it about brought me to tears. I have been going to Portsmouth Dental for 50+ years! The founding dentist and his dentist partner who subsequently joined him have ALWAYS been great providers, and, the new ones they have brought on are equally as good. The hygienists and the rest of the staff are also great. I highly recommend this dental practice!! BTW, for what it’s worth, I am a retired RN who practiced for 40+ years.

I have had crowns/cleanings/two bridges replaced in past 5 years and have received excellent care each time!!

I have been a patient at Portsmouth Dental Care since 2025, and the level of professionalism and kindness has been consistent from day one. From the reception team who schedules appointments to the clinical staff, everyone treats you with respect and genuine care. Some people may say they are just doing their job. However, that level of care is not universal, and it certainly is not guaranteed everywhere. It is noticeable here. On February 14, 2026, I had an extensive dental appointment that required significant work. Dr. Aria, his assistant Ashley, and dental hygienist Esther took excellent care of me. They were not only professional, but they communicated clearly throughout the entire process. They explained each procedure, what to expect, and how to care for myself afterward. That transparency makes a real difference. Portsmouth Dental Care truly lives up to its name. The care begins with scheduling and continues all the way through treatment. I originally found Portsmouth Dental Care while living in Portland in 2025. Even though I have since moved to Vancouver, I will continue making the drive because of their consistency, professionalism, and the trust they have earned. Thank you to the entire team for the work you do and the way you do it.

I saw Dr Aria and Ashley. Wonderful visit. I have neglected my oral health for a long time and was expecting judgement and lectures. They were incredibly kind in checking me out and providing me with options.

Dr. Aria, Ashley, and the front office staff went above and beyond to help a gal with chipped front teeth (night stress grinding!) feel great before her sister-in-laws wedding. They were quick to get me in for an exam followed by the dental work, offered a fair out of pocket price (with bonus polishing to “make sure I’d look my best”), and helped me plan for other services once my insurance kicks in. Dr. Aria and Ashley’s bedside manners were the best I’ve ever received at a dental office — so approachable and friendly. The clinic was recommended by two neighbors and I’m so glad I asked!

Who likes going to the dentist? Well when it comes to seeing Dr Turk, I do, his bedside manner is great as is his sense of humor. The staff is welcoming and efficient. If you fear the dentist check this clinic out! *My story, through most of my adult life I did not have the money for dental care nor did I have the insurance coverage, let alone the ability to take time off for care. In my early twenties (I'm now in my mid 40's) I had a drug problem that destroyed my teeth. I kept moving forward with a closed mouth smile. At one point I had Kaiser insurance and went for an evaluation and the dentist and her assistant left me feeling like there was no hope and to listen to the 2 of them talk about how fowl my mouth was... I left and never returned....continued to move forward with a closed mouth smile. Things changed two years ago; when, I met Dr. Turk (out side of his clinic) and we got to talking and laughing. A few months later I had SEVERE tooth pain, so unbearable that action had to be taken on an emergency level. My employer reminded me about the interaction that I had with Dr. Turk and suggested that I reach out to him, I did. They got me in PROMPTLY and TOOK ACTION, I could function again. While in his chair he made jokes that put me at ease, he and his dental assistant made conversation that did not leave me feeling excluded, nor did they make me feel like an inferior human. I continued with my life strategy of delay until in crisis and a year later I had another rotten tooth that had me screaming and writhing in pain, once again he took action. I still had rotten teeth and still would smile with my mouth closed. Yesterday I went in for the first of what I would call the restoration of my smile. My front upper teeth. I am looking in the mirror and crying tears of joy as I can pull my cheeks into a full toothy smile. I do not know how to thank Dr. Turk enough! (Good thoughts, Good words, Good Deeds)

Updated on 4/2/2025 Well, no one ever said Wisdom Teeth extraction would be easy or fun. My healing was interrupted by a few complications, no one's fault. However, Doctor Hunt was there the whole step of the way. Even fit me in on his day off to help. Communication with him has been awesome and I feel as though I'm on my way to a wonderful recovery......bring on the onion rings(in 2 weeks). Thanks to the entire team and especially Doctor Hunt. To find a dentist office that is open on weekends and open til 7pm is so rare. My first appointment was: scheduled with ease, very thorough and I left with a full understanding of what the dentist was recommending. Love this place.
